Hebei Xi'an Qian'an Chemical Co., Ltd., Xingta Mining Co., Ltd. from Zhalut Banner in Inner Mongolia, and the Wulaigai Management District in Xilinguole have entered into a joint cooperation agreement. A major coal chemical project in Xilinhe, with a total investment of RMB 9 billion, has officially begun construction. In addition, Indonesia's Sanlin Group signed the "Strategy for the Development of Dalu Coal Chemical Industry Park in Ordos City" with the Ordos City Government in Hohhot, marking a significant step forward in regional energy collaboration.
According to available information, the Xilinhe coal chemical project will be implemented in two phases. The project is expected to have an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 1.04 million tons of urea, and 1.2 million tons of methanol. Additionally, an open-pit coal mine with an annual output of 10 million tons will be developed, with 5 million tons of coal converted for use in the project. The first phase will see an investment of 4 billion yuan to establish production lines capable of producing 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 520,000 tons of urea, and 600,000 tons of methanol annually. Once fully operational, the project is projected to generate annual sales revenue of 5 billion yuan and profits and taxes totaling 1 billion yuan.
The collaboration between Sanlin Group and the Ordos City Government is also planned in two stages. A 30-square-kilometer Dalu Coal Chemical Industry Park will be developed. The first phase will focus on a coal-to-olefins project, while the second phase will concentrate on coal-based oil production. With a total investment expected to reach 80 billion yuan, the initiative aims to leverage the rich coal resources of Ordos and Sanlin Group’s strengths in technology, management, and capital. The long-term vision is to create a green, integrated coal chemical industry park in Dalu Town, northeast of Erqi City, over the next 20 years. This park will combine product projects, public support services, logistics, environmental protection, management, and mining integration, setting a new standard for sustainable industrial development in the region.
