Cangzhou Dahua Completed Introduction of TDI Technology Project Contract

The contract for the 50,000-ton-per-year TDI technology project introduced by the Swedish International Chemical Company in Zhuozhou Dahua, Hebei Province, officially came into effect on September 13. This marks a major milestone as the project has now moved into its substantive construction phase. The agreement involves the full introduction of TDI technology and key equipment, with an expected construction period of 32 months. Zhuozhou Dahua had previously introduced a 20,000-ton TDI plant from Sweden, which began operations in 1999 and was the largest of its kind in China at the time. To enhance its market position and scale of operations, the company carried out an expansion and upgrading project last year, increasing its annual capacity to 30,000 tons. Now, in a bid to further strengthen its dominance in the domestic TDI market and boost its core competitiveness, Zhuozhou Dahua has partnered once again with the Swedish International Chemical Company to build a new facility with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons. With a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, this new TDI project is the largest of its kind among Chinese enterprises and also one of the most significant investments made by the Swedish company within China. Once completed, Zhuozhou Dahua’s total TDI production capacity will reach between 80,000 and 100,000 tons annually. This will solidify its position as a leading player in the domestic TDI industry, significantly impacting regional economic growth and helping to reshape the layout of the polyurethane sector across the country.
