A multi-vehicle accident involving three semi-trucks and a passenger car occurred near O'Hare Airport on I-294, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The crash took place around 8:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes, just south of Balmoral Avenue. Authorities reported that all four lanes were temporarily closed due to the incident, causing significant traffic delays. The road was finally reopened early Tuesday morning.
The Illinois State Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash, though no official details have been released yet.
