The disorderly competition in the ferrosilicon industry has intensified the conflict between supply and demand

In recent years, China's ferrosilicon production has experienced rapid growth, driven by the recovery of the steel market and rising steel prices. As a result, many regions have launched aggressive capacity expansions, especially in key producing areas such as Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu, and Qinghai. This has led to a surge in ferrosilicon manufacturers, with export volumes increasing significantly, making China the world’s largest producer and supplier of ferrosilicon. However, this rapid expansion has created a growing imbalance between supply and demand. According to available data, the domestic market can absorb about 1.7 million tons, while exports reach approximately 1 million tons, totaling around 2.7 to 3 million tons. Yet, the total production capacity exceeds 5 million tons, leading to severe overcapacity. Moreover, silicon-based alloys are considered low-value products within the ferroalloy industry, with significant price differences compared to higher-value alloys like vanadium iron or tungsten iron. This gap has intensified competition among companies, resulting in frequent price fluctuations and hindering sustainable industry growth. Local protectionism has also complicated the implementation of national macro-control policies, causing environmental and resource degradation. Ferrosilicon production is energy-intensive and polluting, relying heavily on natural resources. To promote industrial restructuring and ensure long-term, healthy development, the government has introduced various policies related to environmental protection, export tax rebates, and transportation restrictions. However, many Chinese ferrosilicon companies are small private enterprises with limited scale and uneven regional development, making it challenging to implement these policies uniformly. Additionally, environmental protection costs account for roughly 25% of production expenses. Some less-capable firms struggle to keep up with financial reforms. In certain regions, local protectionism persists, with nearly 80% of ferrosilicon producers failing to install adequate dust removal and pollution control facilities, leading to serious environmental damage. These challenges highlight the urgent need for more effective regulation and sustainable development strategies in the sector.

Multi-purpose Tent Group

Canway multi-purpose tent groups are developed for those need large and different functional areas in fields. Typically, their fields of use involve medical care in fields, long-term military activities, team buildings and so on. These activities often need several functional areas in tents. For instance, the Medical Tent group include logistics support area, medical treatment area, decontamination area and so on These area tent groups constitute a hospital tent. These area tents are connectable and they can connect with each other according to the functional requirements. Inflatable tents and metallic frame tents are both suitable for the tent groups.

Due to the long-term exposure in fields, the materials for these tents are high quality so that they can bear the long-term wind, rain and sun, even snow. Canway multi-purpose tent groups can stand 30.0kg/sqm of snow load for one hour and the rainfall intensity more than 15.0mm per hour.

Canway has a professional design team who can deliver an ideal tent group solution when you are in need.
