Maoming Petrochemical Company recently raised the temperature of its distillation and slag-removal system, allowing the coking unit to process 500 tons of residual oil daily and generate over 12 million yuan in monthly profit. As the processing capacity of the coking unit continues to grow, the heating furnace load has become a key limiting factor. To address this, the company's refining sub-unit, in collaboration with the fourth workshop, was the first to shut down one set of coolers in the distillation unit. This allowed the hot residue feed temperature to rise from 124°C to 134°C, significantly reducing the load on the coking unit’s heating furnace and increasing the processing volume by 3%. Building on this success, they also stopped two heat exchangers in the distillation unit, further raising the hot residue feed temperature to 137°C. This improvement not only helps reduce the company’s residual oil inventory but also boosts the yield of light oil and the overall commodity ratio, contributing to greater operational efficiency and profitability.
