Harvey firefighters responded to a second-alarm house fire at 192 E. 157th Street yesterday afternoon on January 22, 2015. The incident was captured by photographers Josh Boyajian and Tim Olk.
Josh Boyajian shared his experience from the scene: "We arrived at the fire after coming from Merrionette Park, which took us a bit longer than usual. When we got there, Harvey’s crew was already on the first floor working, but heavy flames were still visible from the second floor. The structure made it challenging for crews to fully knock down the fire, but they managed to prevent it from spreading to the house to the east. Here are some of my shots."

The images show the intensity of the blaze, with several photos capturing the fire engulfing the home, firefighters in action, and even a dramatic rescue of a pet. Some of the most striking shots include a fire engine arriving at the scene, a house fully consumed by flames, and a firefighter carrying a dog to safety.
Tim Olk also contributed a series of powerful images, including views of smoke billowing from the burning structure, fire chiefs overseeing operations, and emergency vehicles on the scene. His photos highlight the chaos and urgency of the situation, as well as the dedication of the responding crews.
