A fire broke out today, October 26, 2015, at Morton East High School in the 2400 block of Austin. First-arriving units reported smoke on the third and fourth floors. After a long and thorough search, firefighters discovered a motor that had caught fire behind a wall. The incident was contained to that area, and no further spread was observed. Here are some photos taken at the scene.

The scene was quite intense, with multiple fire engines and a ladder truck responding. It's always impressive to see how quickly the crews can mobilize and respond to emergencies. These images give a good sense of the scale of the operation and the professionalism of the firefighters involved.
