Garage fire in Robbins, 12-27-17

I made it down to Robbins on December 27th for a full-blown garage fire. The garage was a large 20x40 structure built with brick and looked like it had a lot of items stored inside. It was a challenging scene to photograph because the area was a dead-end, so I had to get pretty close to capture the trucks. Here are three of the apparatus that were on the scene.

It was interesting to see how the crews managed the tight space, and the photos give a good sense of the scale of the fire and the equipment involved. These images might be useful for training or just as a record of the event. Definitely a tough call for the firefighters, but they handled it well.
