The reporter learned from the press conference of the 15th International Molecular Sieve Conference held on January 23 that under the joint efforts of Chinese scientific and technological workers, after fierce competition, China successfully applied for the right to host the 15th International Zeolite Conference. It will be held in Beijing from August 12th to August 17th this year. This is the first time we have held this grand event.
As an important class of inorganic non-metallic advanced materials, due to its hollow skeleton, large specific surface area, and regular and adjustable pore size, the multi-empty molecular sieve materials have been widely used in the fields of catalysis, adsorption, separation, etc., and are being applied to biological medicine. The expansion of high-tech fields such as environmental protection, governance, and energy storage has become an advanced material that people are looking forward to.
China's molecular sieve research has a broad base. There are more than 10,000 researchers involved in the research on multi-head molecular sieves and more than 100 research units. In recent years, the synthesis and preparation of catalytic materials for molecular sieves and the catalytic conversion in China have been highly valued by the state. They have received support from major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and “973†and have obtained a series of major scientific and technological achievements. Our country is in the forefront of the world in the field of zeolite molecular sieve synthesis, mesoporous material research and other fields, and occupies an important position. The selection of China at this meeting is an affirmation of the achievements and level of research in China's molecular sieve field for many years.
The topics of this conference mainly include 12 aspects such as the synthesis and preparation of new and long-short materials. Delegates will come from well-known research institutes, universities, industry departments and internationally renowned transnational corporations in petrochemicals from 54 countries and regions. During the conference, products and technology exhibitions related to the preparation of catalytic materials, fine chemicals, petroleum refining and adsorption to separation equipment will also be held. There will be dozens of foreign companies attending the exhibition to showcase their new products, new technologies and new equipment.
