In 2005, the cylinder liner of low-speed high-power diesel engine of Yichang Marine Diesel Engine Factory was successfully developed, and it was recognized by the world's two series of diesel engine company Sulzer and MANB&W low-speed high-power diesel engine cylinder liner (under 700mm bore).
In recent years, China's shipbuilding industry has developed rapidly, in order to comprehensively improve the localization rate of low-speed diesel engine parts, fundamentally solve the problem of long-term dependence on imports, and avoid being subject to key technologies and key components at key moments. Yichang Shipai is a national defense science and technology worker. The Commission and China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. were identified as the responsible units for the development of low-speed high-power diesel engine cylinder liner projects. The Yichang Shipyard Trial Team conducted a large number of comprehensive tests, tested nearly 100 cylinder liners, and recorded tens of thousands of sets of data. The RTA48T-B cylinder liner 4# developed by the factory was installed by the Sulzer company. After 4 times of hanging cylinder inspection, the metallographic examination of the working surface showed that the operation was performed for 1000 hours, 3000 hours, 7000 hours and 13368 hours. : There is no abnormal shedding in the crystal. The graphite morphology plays a good role in surface lubrication, and the final wear amount is 0.04mm/1000 hours, which is far lower than the internationally recognized level of wear of <0.1mm per 1000 hours.
Yichang Ship Chai constantly uses the research results to accelerate the pace of industrialization, develops and produces nearly 20 kinds of specifications for diesel engine cylinder liners, and more than 2,000 cylinder liner castings. It not only provides cylinder liners for all diesel engines produced by the factory, but also receives sulzer company. Order multiple cylinder liners, and also provide cylinder liner castings for other domestic manufacturers.
Yichang Shipai has completed several papers in the development of diesel engine cylinder liners and completed four standardization work. It has applied for a number of patented technologies. The plant will continue to develop and certify the cylinder liners of diesel engines above 700mm, further improve the production supporting equipment, increase the production capacity, and make the cylinder liners of diesel engines form a large-scale industrial production.
