Due to rising costs, the Belvidere Fire Department is selling their light rescue unit equipped with UHP suppression. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a high-performance unit at a competitive price.

 

The vehicle is a 2020 Ford F-550XL with a 6.7L V8 diesel engine. It features a PTO-driven UHP suppression pump with a 200-gallon tank, delivering 20 GPM at 1150–1450 psi for up to 10 minutes of continuous suppression. The unit includes two 200-foot pre-connected hose lines on opposite sides, and the pump can operate one line at a time. From the moment the parking brake is released, it takes just 17 seconds to start applying water—making it extremely quick in emergency situations.

 

This suppression system is comparable to a 150-GPM 1 3/4" handline, and one firefighter can manage the flow. The truck has ample space for light rescue gear, including EMS supplies, extrication tools, a ladder, hand tools, and a hose bed that can carry 300 feet of 5-inch LDH for traditional engine support. The custom-built Alexis aluminum body is durable and designed for heavy use, with roll-up doors for easy access.

 

It also comes with Whelen warning lights and sirens, as well as a Motorola APX 4500 VHF radio for communication. The unit is in excellent condition, with under 2,500 miles on the odometer and less than 20 hours on the pump. While the equipment shown in the photos is not included, the vehicle is being sold as-is. Some manufacturer warranties may still be active.
