Lubrication System Components
An automatic lubrication system (ALS), also known as a centralized lubrication system, is designed to deliver precise amounts of lubricant to multiple points on a machine while it is in operation. These systems can be fully automated or require manual activation, and they are typically divided into two main types: oil systems and grease systems.
Oil systems are commonly used for stationary equipment like CNC machines, while grease systems are ideal for mobile applications such as trucks, mining vehicles, and construction machinery.
A standard lubrication system includes a controller/timer, pump with reservoir, supply line, distributors/metering valves, and feed lines.
