3-Alarm fire in Evanston, 1-4-18

Evanston firefighters responded to a third-alarm fire at a large home located at 2865 Sheridan Place. The incident occurred in the early evening, prompting multiple units to arrive on scene to contain the blaze. Local residents reported seeing thick smoke rising from the structure, and emergency crews worked quickly to ensure the safety of anyone inside. While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, no injuries have been reported so far. Firefighters were seen working aggressively to control the flames, with several engines and ladder trucks deployed to the location. The house, which appears to be a single-family residence, was partially damaged by the fire. Crews are currently working to fully extinguish the remaining embers and assess the extent of the damage.
