Xinjiang Hami Builds Four National-level Bases for Energy Industry

According to reports, focusing on scientific leapfrogging and latecomer catch-up, Hami region has a high starting point for planning, and has made every effort to create a modern national key coal production and transportation base, a coal-fired electricity base, a wind power base, and an optoelectronic base.

The Hami region is the region with the most abundant wind energy resources in Xinjiang. The amount of technological development has reached 75 million kilowatts, which accounts for about 63% of Xinjiang's technological development. According to Chen Zhijiang, director of the Hami District Development and Reform Commission, “according to the planning of a 10-megawatt wind power base, the entire wind power plan will reach 5.3 million kilowatts by 2015 and 10.8 million kilowatts by 2020.”

In addition to wind energy resources, Hami’s coal resources and solar energy reserves also rank first in Xinjiang. The predicted coal resources amounted to 570.8 billion tons, accounting for 31.7% of Xinjiang's forecasted resources. At present, more than 30 large-scale enterprise groups such as China Poly, China Power Investment, SDIC, China Coal Energy [8.54 0.23%], and Chongqing Energy have invested in the development of coal resources in Hami, and nine large coal mining areas across the region have successively launched large-scale exploration and mines. Construction. The exploration area reached 17,570 square kilometers, accounting for about 45% of the total area of the Hami coalfield. In 2010, 15 coal mine projects were implemented, with a total investment of 4.52 billion yuan. By the end of the year, the total construction scale and total mine production scale will reach more than 74.5 million tons per year. With the construction of Lanxin's second double line, large-scale coal shipments will start soon.

According to Chen Zhijiang, director of the Hami District Development and Reform Commission, “it is expected that by 2015, the total production capacity of our coal can reach 200 million to 300 million tons, and it will reach 400 million tons in 2020. We have started the construction of coal and electricity bases. Coal power and integrated power planning plan that our thermal power generation capacity will reach 10.16 million by 2015 and reach 22 million by 2020.

At the beginning of March this year, the National Development and Reform Commission formally approved the interconnection project between Xinjiang and the Northwest Power Grid. This is a transmission and transformation project with the largest scale, longest line, and most investment in the history of the Northwest Power Grid. At present, the construction sections of the 750-kilovolt line from Hami to Gansu Anxi are under intense operation. The entire project is expected to be completed and put into operation in October this year. As the core output of "Jiangdong Electric Power Transmission Co., Ltd." and its important support power source, Hami will realize the fusion of scenery and fire, and deliver it in bundles. According to Chen Zhijiang, director of the Hami District Development and Reform Commission, “At present, our solar energy photovoltaic power generation planning has been started and completed. It is estimated that by 2015, the total installed capacity of our photovoltaic power generation will reach 1 million kilowatts, and it will reach 3.6 million by 2020.”

Based on the construction of the four national energy industry bases, the Hami region of Xinjiang proposed that the average annual growth of GDP in the next five years will be over 18%, of which the added value of secondary production will increase by more than 30% annually. The goal is to build Hami into a new one in Xinjiang. Regional growth pole.
