On September 15, the author learned from the Shanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial SASAC, and the Provincial Office of Savings and Reality that a groundbreaking press conference was held, unveiling an innovative technology at the upcoming Coal Fair. This technology, known as the "zero-pollution" water source heat pump system, operates without burning coal, oil, gas, smoke, or producing slag, and it also eliminates wastewater pollution. The system is set to make its debut at the fair, marking a significant step forward in sustainable energy solutions.
Developed and successfully implemented by Shanxi Guorui Investment Co., Ltd., this project has been recognized as a provincial demonstration for energy saving by both the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Construction Department. It has also been ranked among the top ten energy-saving projects in Taiyuan, highlighting its importance and potential impact on the region’s energy landscape.
Faced with the challenges of severe water shortages and limited central heating capacity in Taiyuan, Guorui Company took a bold approach by breaking away from traditional heating methods. At the Guorui Garden residential complex, located at the southern end of Pingyang Road in Taiyuan, the company applied world-leading sewage water source heat pump technology. By utilizing sewage treatment plants, heat exchangers, and water source heat pump units, the system extracts temperature differences from the city's primary sewage, transforming low-grade thermal energy into usable heating and cooling for the community throughout the year.
This innovative approach not only provides efficient summer cooling and winter heating but also ensures a constant supply of hot water. More importantly, it creatively turns what was once considered "pollution" into a renewable energy resource, offering a sustainable solution that aligns with environmental protection goals. By doing so, Guorui Company is setting a new standard for energy efficiency and green development in the region.
