RMA believes that the increase in tire sales will benefit mainly from the US domestic vehicle production, especially the recovery of light truck sales, and the reduction in the interest rate on auto loans in 2010.
Due to factors such as increased vehicle mileage, stable energy prices, and extended vehicle life, sales of spare tires will also increase significantly. It is estimated that the sales volume of tires in 2011 will increase by 2% on the basis of 2010, reaching 290 million pieces.
