The Hebron Alden Greenwood Fire Protection District (FPD) officially received their new fire engine on August 12, 2014.The unit is a 2014 Spartan MetroStar / UST pumper truck, equipped with a powerful 450 HP Cummins ISL9 engine.It carries four personnel and features a 1,500 GPM Hale QMAX pump, along with a 1,000-gallon water tank.The engine is fully equipped for basic life support (BLS) and includes an extraction system.It also has a low hose bed and a front-mount suction system.This new unit replaces two older engines: a 1984 Ford C/3D pumper and a 1980/1997 FMC/Spartan/US Tanker that had been refurbished over the years.
