International diammonium phosphate market continues to rise

Due to strong global market demand, the rising trend of DAP is hard to contain. With the arrival of the once-a-year off-season shipping system for the upper reaches of the Mississippi River in the United States, U.S. buyers expect that prices in the U.S. freight market will be adjusted downwards in November-December, and producers will lock in sales in the spring market. Recently, the price of diammonium in the United States is basically equivalent to the international market, and producers will begin to pay attention to international trade. End-users also want producers to position prices at levels that are roughly equivalent to those of China, the Soviet Union, and North Africa. However, it is obvious that the supply of monoammonium phosphate in the United States is insufficient and demand remains tight.
Producers in North Africa say that the target price for DAP is $560/mt FOB, and that monoammonium phosphate is $20/t higher than this, and this price has already been traded, but it has not announced specific transactions. At present, Morocco has signed a 100,000-ton contract with Europe and it is reported that it has signed similar amounts with the United States. Judging from the strong spot demand in the current European market, OCP in October estimates that there will be 100,000 tons of supplies available.
The GCT in Tunisia has a good sales situation. In October, there are limited products available for sale. It is planned to ship a ship to the United States. The estimated price is comparable to that of the OCP, which is basically $560-565/mt FOB. The Turkish Bagfas export quotation is $570-580/mt FOB. JPMC has signed 250,000 tons of DAP with Ethiopia through AISE, making the sales pressure before the first quarter of 2011 not heavy. The transaction price is $588-600/mt CFRLO, equivalent to the FOB price of $530-540/mt FOB.
China's domestic market demand is still strong. At present, the arrival price in the domestic market is 2950-300 yuan/ton, and the export quotation is $500/mt FOB. On October 16th, the 7% tariff in the off-season will be implemented again.

Retort technology means food is pre-cooked, needing little (if any) additional preparation. And for those consumers that appreciate convenience, the less cooking, the better! Today`s consumers demand convenience, so the flexible retort pouch is appealing because it can be re-sealed. Someone who opens a can of tuna and prepares half of it must then find a way to store what remains. With a re-sealable zip seal pouch, there`s no need for other storage methods. Believe it or not, retort technology makes food taste better. Here, food is spread out evenly, so it cooks faster than in a can. In cans, product at the edges can overcook, while product in the center can undercook. This problem is eliminated by the flexible pouch.

Flexible Retort Pouches are longer and wider than cans, so space for your brand message is increased. You can use graphic designs to catch consumers` attention. The pouches` unique construction (using high-grade plastic, aluminum, or a blend of the two) take well to high-tech printing methods – so your artwork will really stand out at retail. Retort flexible pouches can be made to stand up on retail shelves, or hang in a peg display, which increases your merchandising opportunities.

What is one of the biggest complaints consumers have about cans? Sharp edges, of course! With retort flexible pouches, this problem is completely eliminated. Before packages are filled, they can be stored flat, unlike cans. With warehouse space usually at a premium, this can free up a lot of room, and make for very happy warehouse managers. Retort packages weigh less than cans, so you`ll save money on transportation and shipping.

Most people think cans are more durable. Actually, retort flexible pouches are because they are made of several different high-quality layers that offer superior strength and resiliency. No dents here. In closing, retort pouches continue to gain popularity along with other styles of Flexible Packaging such as standup pouches and barrier bags. While using cans may be a thing of the past, retort pouches and other types of flexible packaging are certain to be in our future.

Traditionally used for coffee and tea, this side-gusseted bag is now growing in popularity in the food, snack and baked good industries. Its side-gusset feature allows your package to be displayed vertically or horizontally, giving retailers more options for shelf display.
