The Hebei provincial government recently held a dispatch meeting for the relocation of dangerous chemicals production companies in the province. The meeting pointed out that 17 companies to complete the relocation of hazardous chemicals will be completed by the end of 2014, and 12 of them will be relocated within 2010.
Hebei will continue to promote the relocation of dangerous enterprises whose safety distance is not up to standard, and promote the construction of new hazardous chemicals production and storage construction projects within the special areas planned according to law. It is understood that these 17 hazardous chemical enterprises have not yet moved, and there are at least 5,000 households in the surrounding protective distance. Among the 17 companies, there are 6 liquid chlorine production companies, 10 liquid ammonia production companies, and 1 paint production company. The production processes of these enterprises are flammable, explosive, poisonous and harmful, and threaten the lives and property of the surrounding people.
