Larry’s images show firefighters using high expansion foam to tackle a basement fire. One photo shows the foam being pumped through a hole in the kitchen floor, while another captures the rear of the affected unit. A warning sign was posted at the site, and the front door of the end unit was clearly visible.
Additional shots include a Pierce engine with lines deployed and Highwood Truck 37 on the roof after arriving to assist. The crew worked through the night, and the last units were released around 3 AM.
More photos from Larry show the aftermath, including foam covering the rear deck and the interior of the original unit. Highwood Truck 37, which had recently been refurbished, was seen on the scene, and firefighters could be seen wetting down the common wall between units.
The fire eventually spread to an adjacent unit, prompting a second alarm response. It was a challenging night for the crews, but they managed to bring the fire under control.
