Box Alarm fire in Vernon Hills, 7-20-14

Here's a rewritten and improved version of the original content, making it more natural, engaging, and detailed to meet your requirements: --- This message is from Sam Borcia:

The Countryside Fire Department was initially dispatched on Sunday, July 20, 2014, around 8:40 PM to investigate smoke inside a townhouse at 821 Faulkner Place in Vernon Hills. The situation quickly escalated into a working fire, and soon after, a Box Alarm was called. I've included some of the photos below for reference.

Thanks, Sam Borcia.

Later that night, around 1:40 AM, while one engine, investigators, and the shift commander were still on the scene, they noticed smoke coming from the adjacent residence. A full still alarm response was sent back to the scene as they discovered a fire in a void space between the units. Highwood Truck 37, which had just finished their shift, responded to the roof after setting up an aerial ladder.

Fire companies were released around 3:00 AM.

This was a challenging incident with multiple units involved. It’s always interesting to see how quickly crews respond and how they manage complex situations like this. Thanks again to Sam and Larry for sharing these great shots.
