2-11 Alarm fire in Chicago, 5-29-22

This is from Matt Sosnowski: > On May 29, 2022, a Sunday, the Chicago Fire Department responded to a house fire in the City of Chicago. The incident involved multiple alarms, including a still alarm, a working fire response, a box alarm, and several changes of quarters. The location was around the 4535/4539/4543 South on Justine Cross Streets, specifically in the 1533 block of West on 45th Street and the 1529 block of West on 46th Street. At 19:37 hours, a still alarm was reported, and Engine 49 was the first due. Upon arrival, they observed heavy fire coming from the rear of the dwelling with exposure issues. As a result, the E.F.A.O. upgraded the response to a working fire at 19:42 hours. Additional units included Truck (Ladder) 18, Battalion Chief 15, and Ambulance 8/36. At 19:44 hours, a box alarm was called, with Engine 39/50, Ladder 51, Battalion Chiefs 5/4, and EMS 456 dispatched. A change of quarters occurred at the same time, with Engine 15 replacing Engine 123, Engine 47 for Engine 50, and Ladder (Truck) 11 for Ladder (Truck) 33. By 19:54 hours, a 2-11 alarm was issued, bringing in Engines 116/16/28/65, Tower Ladder 5, Ladder (Truck) 15, Aerial Tower 8, S.O.C. 515, and EMS D.C. 4412. Several more changes of quarters were made as the situation escalated, with additional engines and ladders arriving to support the ongoing firefighting efforts. The incident involved multiple units and showed how quickly the situation developed, requiring a coordinated response from various departments and personnel.
