Xinjiang's 8th Shanxi Auto Xinjiang Branch Obtains “Establishment Certificate”


In January 2013, the Xinjiang branch of Shaanxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shaanxi Auto Xinjiang Branch) was notified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) vehicle production enterprises and products, which means that it has become the eighth enterprise in Xinjiang with auto production qualification.

The enterprises that currently have auto manufacturing qualifications in Xinjiang are: Dongfeng Xinjiang Automobile Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Zhongtong Bus Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Tianshan Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Futian Guanghui Special Vehicle Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Zhenghe Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and CIMC Vehicles. (Group) Xinjiang Co., Ltd. and Xinjiang Hongda Heavy Industry Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

It is understood that China issued the "Auto Industry Industrial Policy" in 1994, which stipulates that automobile companies must start production of automotive products after they have to go through the approval of relevant state departments and enter the catalog.

Shaanxi Auto Xinjiang Branch laid a foundation in the Economic and Technological Development Zone (Toutunhe District) Industrial Park on April 26, 2011. The first phase of the project was completed on May 28, 2012. All projects will have an annual output after completion. The production capacity of 50,000 heavy trucks is the largest production vehicle manufacturer in Shaanxi Automobile Group.

According to the personnel of the Xinjiang Electrical and Mechanical Services Office, Shaanxi Auto Xinjiang Branch will have Dongfeng Xinjiang, Shaanxi Auto Xinjiang Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing Corporation and Xinjiang Jianashi Motorcycle Co., Ltd. established in Jiashi County after the “Enrollment Permit” has been formally put into production. Xinjiang's first motorcycle manufacturing project.

In the future, if Shanghai (Volkswagen) Xinjiang Corporation is completed and put into production, passenger car, commercial vehicle and motorcycle manufacturers will settle in Xinjiang. By then, Xinjiang will complete the layout of a full range of vehicle manufacturing enterprises.
