In 2013, the proportion of overseas vehicle revenue of China's automakers declined. According to the financial report data of 14 listed automobile companies with a large export volume in China (see Note), last year, the overseas sea income of 14 listed companies in China reached a total of 41.815 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. The income level of domestic main business, the average overseas income of these enterprises accounted for 5.0%, which was lower than the 5.4% in 2012.

Overseas income: SAIC Group broke through 1 billion yuan Great Wall Motors crashed
Among the 14 companies, there are still nine companies with overseas revenues exceeding RMB1 billion in 2013. However, compared with 2012, SAIC Group’s overseas revenue exceeded RMB1 billion, while Ankai’s passenger car fell and fell below RMB1 billion. Last year, nine companies with overseas revenues exceeding one billion yuan were BYD, Geely Automobile, Lifan, Great Wall Motor, Foton Motor, Jinlong Automobile, Yutong Bus, Jianghuai Automobile and SAIC.
SAIC Group's overseas revenue growth in 2013 was nearly 30%, surpassing one billion yuan, from 857 million yuan to 1.11 billion yuan. Ankai Bus's overseas revenue in 2012 was 1.047 billion yuan, while in 2013 it fell 42.7% to 600 million yuan.
BYD's overseas revenue growth is slower, but it is still higher than other companies. Its total overseas business revenue reached 7.049 billion yuan last year, a slight increase of 4.4%. In its top three overseas markets, the United States, India and Europe, last year's revenues reached 1.918 billion yuan, 1.146 billion yuan and 1.09 billion yuan.
Great Wall Motor's revenue growth in the domestic market last year was significant, up 40% year-on-year to 51.943 billion yuan, and was frustrated in overseas markets. Revenue fell 21.6% year-on-year to 4.842 billion yuan, ranking fourth among 14 companies, and 2012. Its overseas income is only lower than BYD, ranking second. In 2013, Great Wall Motor exported 74,900 vehicles, down 21.5% year-on-year.
Jinlong Auto's overseas revenue also fell, down 4.3% year-on-year, from 4.135 billion yuan to 3.956 billion yuan, surpassed by Futian and Lifan shares, ranking from fourth to sixth.
The overseas market revenue of Geely Automobile and Lifan Co., Ltd. increased rapidly, up 26.7% and 47.3% respectively, and the overseas income of 6.745 billion yuan and 5.347 billion yuan ranked second and third respectively. The overseas revenue of Foton Motor and Yutong Bus increased by 14.2% and 15.3% respectively.
Lifan shares accounted for over 53.5% of overseas revenue
Judging from the proportion of overseas income to the operating income of each enterprise, among the 14 listed car companies mentioned in this article, Lifan has the highest proportion of overseas revenue, up 53.5%, that is, overseas income (5.347 billion yuan) is higher than domestic market income ( 4.65 billion yuan). Followed by Yaxing Bus (600213, shares) and Geely Automobile, overseas revenue accounted for 23.9% and 23.5% respectively.

Overseas income accounts for between 10% and 20%: Jinlong Automobile, Zhongtong Bus (000957, stock bar), Ankai Bus, Yutong Bus, BYD, Foton Motor and Jianghuai Automobile. Among them, BYD, which has the highest overseas income, accounted for 13.8% of overseas revenue, down one percentage point year-on-year.
Great Wall Motor, Shuguang, Hualing Xingma and SAIC Group accounted for a relatively low proportion of overseas revenues, all of which were less than 10%. Among them, SAIC, which has the largest domestic revenue, accounted for only 0.2% of its overseas revenue. Great Wall Motor was 8.5%, down 5.8 percentage points year-on-year, compared with 14.3% in 2012.
