Major instrument special project new plasma mass spectrometry key components development passed acceptance

[ China Instrument Network Instrument R&D ] On October 18, 2018, the project of “Development and Innovation Application of Key Components of New Plasma Mass Spectrometer” for the “12th Five-Year” National Major Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development Project led by Beijing Haiguang Instrument Co., Ltd. The acceptance will be held in Beijing. The acceptance meeting was presided over by Wei Yayun, project director of the Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The researcher of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission of the project organization, Li Jianling, attended the meeting. Academician Yao Jiannian of the Chinese Academy of Sciences served as the leader of the acceptance team.

The project leader Dr. Wang Houle reported the project research to the expert group in detail. The project has concentrated on many domestic leading enterprises and research institutions, in the research of key components, instrument production, application of results, industrialization demonstration, team building and The overall goal was set in six aspects of base construction. The project has set 11 tasks from four dimensions: hardware, software, application, and engineering: including the development of key components necessary for plasma mass spectrometry, the development of plasma mass spectrometers and the application of results, and the first to create a series that has not seen other domestic and foreign The emerging methods reported by the unit have significantly expanded the application of plasma mass spectrometry, covering food safety, environmental protection, medical and medical, life sciences, energy resources and water quality analysis.
This project takes the key components of the mass spectrometer as a breakthrough point, completes the platform construction in a short time, and completes four plasma ion sources, two mass spectrometry interfaces, and mass spectrometry control systems and software systems. The development of these key components can not only support the development and production of plasma mass spectrometers, but also can be applied to other related mass spectrometers. Through the unremitting efforts of all members of the project team, the task indicators specified in the project task book have been successfully completed, and the further development of the domestic mass spectrometry industry has been actively promoted. At the meeting, the acceptance expert group questioned the problems in the instrument development process.
Wei Yayun, project director of the Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, announced the acceptance opinion (partial) on behalf of the expert group: this project has overcome the key technologies of plasma, formed key components such as various ion sources, and developed three types of plasma mass spectrometers in medical treatment. Draft applications and standards have emerged in areas such as life sciences, food safety, energy resources and water quality analysis. The expert group unanimously agreed that the project “Development and innovation application of key components of new plasma mass spectrometry” passed the comprehensive acceptance.
